This year, Kurtosys US stepped up the stubble, raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health, and surpassing their goal of over $1,000 in donations!
Why is it important to raise awareness and funds to improve the state of men’s health? Here are some of the hairy facts:
- 12.1% of men 18 years and over are in fair or poor health
- Men are 24% less likely than women to have visited a doctor within the past year
- Average life expectancy for men in the United States is almost 5 years less than women
- Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in the US
