Native Word Tables
The Native Word Tables offers a user-friendly process of adding tables created in Datasets to Word documents through the Studio for Word add-in.
Creating a table in Word before the Native Word Tables feature consisted of creating a table in Word and individually filling in the table with Data Points. Drawbacks of this approach:
Benefits of using Native Word Tables that are based on Datasets configured in the Kurtosys App.
-
The user only needs to add the table to the Word document and doesn’t have to add Data Points individually. This has major benefits for increasing the time to delivery of a Word template that contains tables.
-
The data can be conditionally styled, which can’t be catered for with the current solution. Using the Cell Styles card available on the Studio for Word add-in, a user can create a cell style that can be applied to a Word Native table during the conditional styling configuration step. These styles can also be shared across documents for a client.
